Did I say it was a six or seven hour ride? Well, it depends on whether you get a speeding ticket along the way. $140...plus the extra time for driving 'sensibly.' Or at least, legally.

Still, the road that leads to Marfa may be the very road Enzio Ferrari had in mind when he started designing cars...

So I came to the artist's outpost, Marfa, in West Texas. It was closed. I mean, all of it - the whole town. On Monday and Tuesday, Marfa shuts down completely. Fortunately it's only a SIX-SEVEN HOUR drive from Austin...
