Shoe-gazing

The blog's on a mini-hiatus. It needs a shake-up of some sort if it's to continue. It may be that it takes on content, rather than mere images. Either that, or I'll need to re-examine the aesthetic, because it was never supposed to be about bland vaguely pretty pictures, but rather, about a way of thinking and seeing. So for now, I'll go on with the shoe-gazing and await inspiration.

Cocktail Lounge. NYC.

It could be anywhere, but of course it's in New York City. Some days you can't help but miss the old girl...not least, having just seen Charlie Kaufmann's Synecdoche, New York .

End of the road.

I've never seen road-kill like I saw it on the way to Marfa. Every couple of hundred yards, deer, coyote, skunk, armadillo lay traffic-battered by the side of the road. Meanwhile, this is the front of the car rental after the drive back home. Lots of window-shield cleaning along the way, I can tell you that.
This is the last of the Marfa series for now.

Dedicated Follower Of Fashion

Autumn in New York usually signifies the appearance of boots on fashion conscious women across the city. This Texas girl is precocious - 78 degrees of desert sunshine, but she's committed to the wet-weather boots. Sometimes style is all.
