Gorilla.

This series might actually benefit from a few words. So.
Over the past couple of years I've been going to Gorilla Coffee on Fifth Ave in Brooklyn. As the saying goes, 'that's a damn good cup of coffee.' Also, fine people staff the joint. But it's been a place where I take my notebook, start the day easy, jog a few thoughts into being. I'm especially fond of the window seat, and I thought I might like to capture something of it, since I'm likely to be moving away in the near future. But I shot a few frames last week and failed to capture anything.
Today, instead of trying to manufacture one single image I shot several, all from the same seat, each framing different eyelines. And it occurred to me that this is the right way to go about it, because this is how I've always looked - never at the whole, always taking in different vantages, moment by moment. So here they are...a few views from the window seat at Gorilla.
A damn fine cup of coffee.
