The World Is Animated.

This detail looks like an anime cell, no?

It's still there in the original.

Architecture and Morality

Heat Exhaustion

I went out to take some pics today with my non-SLR digital, and it's officially fried. I left it in the car for an hour the other day when it was 100 degrees outside..again. I'm hoping it's just the memory card that's damaged. We'll see. But thus the interruption...for now, I'll start taking the SLR with me on occasion. Meanwhile, I'll post something random from the files shortly...

Don't forget to tip...

...your bartender.

Incidentally, don't leave your camera in the car during 100 degree heat. The colour in your images might end up like these...

The Book of Longing.

Yesterday I bought Leonard Cohen's The Book of Longing. Below, one excerpt and one complete poem:

Excerpt (Book of Longing):
I followed the course
From chaos to art
Desire the horse
Depression the cart

Other Writers
Steve Stanfield is a great haiku master.
He lives in the country with Sarah,
his beautiful wife,
and he writes about small things
which stand for all things.
Kyozan Joshu Roshi,
who has brought hundreds of monks
to a full awakening,
addresses the simultaneous
expansion and contraction
of the cosmos.
I go on and on
about a noble young woman
who unfastened her jeans
in the front seat of my jeep
and let me touch the source of life
because I was so far from it.
I've got to tell you, friends,
I prefer my stuff to theirs.

Gender Confusion.

I was thinking I'd title this post 'Cock.' Y'know, generate a few search hits maybe. But then I realized, it's a hen, not a cock. Typical me, really.

That sinking feeling.

There's a few people I know around here feeling a little deflated. Life. No-one gets out alive.

Not quite California...

Nor Brooklyn for that matter. But the palm trees out front take me back to LA. Either way, this is the front window view, to follow the back.
Pictures of interest to people other than myself to follow. Maybe.
