Border Crossings

I drove through Tennessee and Arkansas in the midst of severe weather warnings, and within 24 hours at least 54 people had died along my travel route as a result of tornadoes. The landscape was bleak and grey all the way south until, within sight of the Texas border, the sky suddenly opened up, became large and golden. The first thing I did in Texas was open the car sunroof. The second was to pull over and take this photo. Welcome to your new home.
